What are Judaica Items?

Judaica is a broad category that includes any ritual/ceremonial object that is used in Jewish religious ceremonies and holidays.

Some of the most popular judaica items are: menorahs, Sefer Torahs, pice towers, kiddush cups, Shabbat (sabbath) candlestick holders, mezuzahs, etc. Each object have its own specific day or holiday celebration usage.

The Jewish religion have more than 3000 years of history. It is one of the oldest religions in the World. The style of work can vary from country/region (Sephardic, Ashkenazi, Ethiopian, etc.), age of when it was made, the style (folk art or highly skilled silversmith), etc.

There are museus with dedicated sections of judaica such as The British Library, the Jewish Museum in London, as well as in the Musee d’art et d’Histore du Judaisme, in France. There are a lot of museus with judaica in Prague and in New York too in which jewish families donated a lot of historic jewish items.
