Shulamith Wittenberg Bezalel school plaque from the 1920s. Sculpture. Made in the 1920s while a student of Boris Schatz. Outisde depicts an angel. The inside is a painting on bone of the angel visiting Jacob. He then wrestles him. Size of the work is about 4.75X7.5 inches. Very highly detailed. Probably made in the work shop in Jerusalem. Much of the artist’s artwork was in the Spertus Museum collection in Chicago. A very rare work indeed.
