Japanese Heart Shaped 19th Century Brass Trinket Box Trade Dollar Dragon. Gorgeous design. Probably 1870s. The dragon is identical to the one on the trade dollar but reversed. The piece was probably export and has many European elements, including an angel in the middle and feet as the base. Excellent condition. Has never been cleaned. Very dirty surface and patena but leaving that up to the buyer to keep its original look. Very rare piece. A must own for any collection. Not marked, which indicates age as well. Size is height 1.5 inches. Length is 2.75 inches. Width is 3 inches.
