Frederick Remahl Chicago artist Chocolate landscape. Circa 1930. Surrealist piece. Artist was originally from Sweden and moved to Chicago. He was a member of the Chicago Society of Artists. He worked for the WPA during the Great Depression. Remahl exhibited in the Corcoran Gallery in Washington D.C., the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, and Who Was Who in American Art. He exhibited for around 30 years. Size is 18.5X14 inches. His oil paintings are quite rare.
