Mr. Ciran was born in Slovakia. He immigrated to Chicago after World War II. He studied at North Park College, the American Academy, the Palette and Chisel Academy of Fine Arts, and the Chicago Academy. He was influenced by Monet, Picasso, and Renoir. He won an award and worked with Charles Vickery. The created the Oil Painters of America and Chicago Windy City Artists. He was the President of the Regent Art League. He also composes and plays violin.
